Plant more trees in conventional farmland / degraded land

Agroforestry is the intentional combining of agriculture and working trees to create sustainable farming and ranching systems.

By planting trees on farmlands, following benefits are expected: i) carbon sequestration through afforestation, ii) sustainable food production, and iii) biodiversity

Transform biomass residues into valuable assets

Biochar is biomass (wood, straw, husks or other biosolids) heated at high temperatures without oxygen. This process, known as pyrolysis, concentrates carbon in a form that is very resistant to biological decomposition.

When applied to soil and other products, a large fraction of its carbon content is sequestered for 100+ years.

Community-based ecosystem restoration

Mangroves are one of the world’s most important ecosystems. Healthy mangrove forests are hotspots of biodiversity, cornerstones of climate resilience and a source of livelihoods for coastal communities worldwide. They are carbon stores, fish factories, coastal defenses and more, conveying incalculable benefits to both people and planet.

Introduction of sustainable water management

Rice is a staple commodity for most Asian countries yet the conventional rice farming produce a large amount of methane gas.

By introducing new water management system with carbon credit incentive system, we encourage farmers to shift their farming practices to more sustainable approach.
